Please read these important instructions before using safety-zone alerts.
Check user reported accident prone zones: Open View Reported Zones along your route before starting your journey and check if any accident zone is reported, so that you can be aware of it in advance and carefully drive in those locations.
Understand alert limitations: Alerts may not work when your phone is locked or the browser is closed. Background alerts are not guaranteed.
Do not rely solely on alerts: Stay aware of your surroundings and follow official signs, instructions, and traffic rules.
Understand reported zones: Information is user-submitted and may be incomplete, outdated, or unverified. An unlisted area is not necessarily safe.
Enable required permissions: Allow location and notifications where supported, and check that the required features are enabled before traveling.
Travel responsibly: Mount the phone in a secure, easily visible holder. Don't hold it in your hand. Never interact with your phone while driving. Review maps and safety information before departure or after stopping safely.
About the zones
If an accident zone isn't listed, it doesn't mean there are no accidents happened in that area or location. Data relies on user submissions, and coverage grows with every report.
Voice alert settings
Voice alerts are ON by default. You can switch OFF voice alert warnings at any time using the ON/OFF switch next to the alert option.
For your safety, adjust this setting before starting your journey. Never interact with your device while driving.
Please note that switching OFF voice alerts will stop spoken warnings from being played. Other features may continue to operate.
The figure shown beside Alerts on, for example ±3m, is how confidently your phone knows your location. It means your true position is within about 3 metres of where the app thinks you are, and the number grows indoors, in car parks, tunnels, or between tall buildings.
Warnings still sound at 500 m and 200 m from a reported spot, so a few metres of uncertainty makes no difference to when you are warned.
While alerts are on, your phone may briefly show a media or sound notice. This is only the voice warning being played through your browser. Nothing is downloaded or saved to your phone, it does not use your storage, and it disappears when the warning ends or when you close the website.
Safety Notice
Submit your report only when you're in a safe place. Don't do it while walking or driving.
Simple Rule
Always keep your attention on the road.
If your hand needs to touch the phone, safely stop and park in a legally permitted place first.
